The Peace Gardens are an award winning Public Square at the centre of the heart of the city developments, adjacent to the Winter Garden and within easy reach of the Millennium Galleries. Set against the backdrop of the Victorian Town Hall, spectacular fountains, water features and lawns make this an oasis for locals and visitors alike and the perfect place to take a break from exploring the delights of the city centre. The fountain is a firm favourite during the summer months for a refreshing paddle. Surrounded by café bars, the peace gardens are a popular focal point for city centre events.

In 2005 the Peace Gardens will adjoin the new Millennium Square which is currently under construction. The new square will have stunning architectural features, a new top class hotel, bars, restaurants and shops.
