The Peak District National Park lies at the southern end of the Pennine Hills just 5 miles from the city centre. One third of Sheffield lies within its boundaries and visitors to the west of the city will see how easily Sheffield nestles into the gently rolling moors and rugged peaks.

The area is unique in its varied landscape, riches of wildlife, and wealth of cultural heritage. There is so much to explore – remote wind blown hilltops, tranquil dales, hard rock edges, traditional flower meadows, show caves and river valleys. It’s easy to see why it is a firm favourite with walkers, climbers and cyclists. Combine city and country for the perfect short break
