The Showroom and Workstation is a major regional centre of media exhibition and production.
The Showroom Cinema is one of the largest independent cinemas in Britain, screening a diverse range of international and independent films. From new releases to archive prints; from special home-grown seasons to touring festivals; the Showroom specialises in all cinema outside of the mainstream. It is the home of the Sheffield International Documentary Film Festival, or Doc/Fest: a week of intense deal-making, doc-watching and debate.
The Showroom Bar is a popular destination for a broad range of groups. Opening from 11am, the relaxing ambience makes it ideal for a quick coffee before your train, while the attractive selection of food and Wi-Fi network appeal to the working-luncher. The Bar is also a popular music venue, hosting weekly live acoustic and jazz acts, and late night DJs.
The Workstation is a unique managed workspace/business centre for companies working in and around cultural and media industries. Since opening in 1993 the centre has grown into one of the UK's most successful centres for cultural industries and has attracted companies with a wide portfolio of national and international clients.
The Showroom and Workstation's meeting rooms, luxury auditoria and state of the art presentation facilities are all available for corporate and personal hire, and provide the perfect environment for any event, from small meetings to major conferences.
